Not sure which grade to order?
See which option best fits your needs.

I need pallets that work with my racking and equipment.
GMA standard 48×40 pallets are built for universal compatibility and work with every major logistics system, warehouse rack, and distribution network. Available in new wood and Grade A recycled.

I need the best condition and appearance.
New wood provides consistent quality across every order with no repair history. Grade A recycled offers a solid middle ground, delivering good condition at a lower cost than new.

My budget is tight and I just need something that works.
Grade B recycled is our most economical option, providing reliable performance for everyday shipping and storage while helping keep pallet costs under control.

I need food-safe pallets.
Food and beverage shipments are usually best served by new wood pallets. Grade A may work for secondary packaging, while Grade B generally isn't recommended.

Still not sure which 48x40 pallet is right for you?

Load capacity: up to 4,600 lbs
Best for: retail, distribution, and shared logistics systems where reliability matters but new wood isn’t required
Food service note: works for secondary packaging when heat-treated and inspected; not suitable for direct food contact
Recycled Grade B 48x40
Grade B pallets show more visible wear and may have stringer or block repairs, but they’re fully functional for most shipping and storage applications. The most cost-effective option for everyday use.
Load capacity: 1,500–2,500 lbs depending on repair quality
Best for: general shipping, storage, and budget-conscious operations where appearance is not a priority

Common questions from 48x40 pallet buyers
Where can I buy 48x40 pallets in Orlando?
The Pallet Pro supplies 48x40 pallets for sale in Orlando and across Central Florida. We carry new, Grade A, and Grade B options — most standard pallets are available within 24–72 hours. Call us or use the quote form to check availability and get pricing.
What is the difference between GMA standard and non-GMA 48x40 pallets?
GMA standard recycled pallets are built to exact specifications — 7 top deck boards, 5 bottom boards, 4-way entry, specific board widths — so they work consistently across virtually every warehouse and logistics system. Non-GMA 48x40 pallets share the same footprint but may have different board counts, spacing, or entry configurations. Use GMA when compatibility and consistency matter.
What’s the load capacity for a 48x40 GMA pallet?
GMA standard 48x40 pallets are rated for a minimum of 2,500 lbs. New wood and Grade A recycled pallets can support up to 4,600 lbs depending on lumber grade and condition.
Are recycled 48x40 pallets safe for food service?
Grade A recycled pallets can work for food service when heat-treated, inspected, and sanitized — but only for secondary packaging like boxed or bagged goods, not for direct food contact. Grade B pallets aren’t recommended for any food application. If food safety is a priority, new wood is the safer choice.
Can I get heat-treated 48x40 pallets for export?
Yes. Heat-treated 48x40 GMA pallets are available and meet ISPM-15 export standards. See our Heat Treated Pallets page for full details.
What’s the difference between new and recycled 48x40 pallets besides price?
New wood pallets have no repair history and look consistent from one order to the next. Grade A recycled pallets are in good condition with only minimal repairs and are suitable for food-safe secondary packaging. Grade B pallets may have more visible repairs and wear but are fully functional for general use.
